Um, it was never a aversion. He absolutely loves it. Putting it infront of him will distract him.

I always thought Axel was a big fan, and it was a case of it put him in a such a pure mental state the demon had nothing to latch onto. So yeah the demon didn’t like it, but thought Axel did.
