Had Emi been watching Naruto recently? It’s not that kind of nine tails.
Being Japanese, Emi’s cultural knowledge of kitsune is probably a bit more robust than a single shonen manga. And since Power is functionally the Element of monsters, she may have even more details than a typical girl her age. She’s probably now expecting a lascivious trickster, out to prank and nibble life force.
I don’t think it’s life force she’s out to nibble on though.
I was sure that she had already met Kalish/Demoness though? They all live in the same apartment building after all.

That language seems incredibly tame considering her opinion of Phil. Maybe I missed something, but can Emi not use foul language? I know I’ve seen other characters say “damn” before.
