He can’t help but spin the conversation in a direction- and ends up getting surprised by it not going where he expected.

OK, if the Celestials want Phil and Kate to agree to work for them forever, they have one doozy of a benefits package to offer.
Officiator at wedding: As long as you both shall live.
Phil: I do.
Kate: I do.
Yuki: For as many lives as you want!
Phil is right, there has to be constraints. Something that explains anything explains nothing.
On another note, since I had to go back and read the page before this one I noticed a misspell: “futher”.
And “seperates”.
I’m surprised no one pointed them out sooner. Thanks!
AH HA! Truck-kun is really a celestial in disguise responsible for maintaining the soul cycle! Now things make more sense.
Sorry, it’s enough of a meme in Isekai stories and we’ve seen Celestials as swords, stained glass constructs, old men, and now Yuki so having one assume the form of a truck isn’t the most absurd concept.
Next page:
Phil: “Truck-kun is real!?”
Yuki: “Truck… What? Kate!?”
Kate: “On it! Any of the manga on the second shelf to the right.”
Did Shiden accidentally create a Soul Catcher machine, for reincarnating souls into Android bodies?
Is this going to be a long term problem with nigh immortal bodies, that can swap phylacteries into other shells?
That is a very good question, I hope Sage answers it.
and the line between fantasy and reality get a liiiiiiitle bit thinner
