Actually some yukata (no plurals in Japanese) might be just the thing. Kimono is formal wear, a yukata is worn to relax.

Well, they could wear the obi and then bring out some tatami mats to kneel on before Phil, sake at the ready.
They should probably keep the med kit on standby, as Phil passes out from seeing that glorious site.

the kimono looks like it’ll be constricting some lovely sweater-puppies soon. it’ll be worth it to see them sproing out, though.
That’s gotta be one of the most fun parts of drawing Kate, having her ears reflect her feelings. Well, all your chimera with animal ears actually, come to think of it.
