Kate’s hair in the last panel makes her look mildly upset (looks like an extension of her eyebrow). maybe it was intended to have that effect? I mean… I’d be slightly perturbed if someone could read me that easily… Definitely possible that was the intention! Then again… Kate’s a bit too nice of a person to be upset at anyone over something small like that.
