Is he not a fan of alcohol, or is his pain tolerance already too high and making an effort to not accidentally destroy himself?
Does “hurt” refer to the pain, or the bodily damage?
I don’t know what you were trying to say with the alcohol thing, but if that arm wasn’t robotic he would have caused his arm a lot of pain punching through that wall of ice, but being a trained martial artist he would be able to do it and prevent any major physical damage.
get enough alcohol in your body and the brain is incapable of transmitting pain signals properly so you become unaware that your hurt is what he was implying I assume?
