I always love seeing a badass female lead that can really hold her own in a fight. I’m somewhat tired of the damsel in distress trope.
. . .when has there ever been a damsel in distress in this comic
There was that time near the start where fire kidnaped phil, and he DOES look good in a dress
Looks like Kate will finally get to have some bada*s fun. We will also hopefully get to see Life’s magic, assuming he has any offensive spells. If he can imube item with ‘life’ they should have decorated with more statues and suits of armor.
I doubt he does have any offensive magic against a living opponent, assuming healing magic does what fiction has long established it does to the Undead, which is why he’s relying heavily on that sword. 🙂
You’ll note Kate was very careful to keep her left hand away from Phil throughout this whole thing? (Though she did touch him with her right, so presumably anything fancy in her right hand is nulled out now.) Clever girl. Now let’s see her work her magic.
Even more interesting it’s her wedding ring that is enchanted. Or at least she is wearing the enchanted ring in the traditional place for your engagement/wedding ring.
Indeed. Though she could—as some couples do—be forsaking her wedding ring while potentially having to perform distasteful work.
Great work by Phil (comic creator) to foreshadow and carry this bit through in a very credible manner. Bravo.
