Sounds like the jokes about breeding Phil might have been foreshadowing as the celestials decide they need to establish a Null family from which the Null will usually be selected. That or make Phil immortal so he is always available — but he would insist on Kate also being made immortal if she (Kate) agrees. That could make one doozy of a wedding present.

Yuki looks like she got lost in the mysteries of the universe there for a second. I wonder if the outsiders and celestials are part of what magic’s warning was supposed to be about or if this is just a side quest during the interlude in the main questline.

Either way Yuki is certainly getting a lot of her expectations challenged in rather short order and if she were more scholarly would probably be in full thesis mode shortly.
