340 liters is a *very* large chest or a small car boot.

The latter may appeal to ped-toe-philes, latin feet lovers.

It’s around the size of a Steamer Trunk (a type of trunk often used on steamships and ocean liners)
Which was what used to be used for car storage in the early days, and why the back storage of a car is called a “Trunk” in the US.

So it’s quite Steamy.

And a boot was a name for a leather item used as a covering. The stagecoaches had a large piece of canvas covering the rear area of the stagecoach to keep all he baggage in place. That is why the Brits call the compartment for storage the boot.

Ah, yes, sorry about that! I often get my British [school education] confused with my American [two years of work in US] so I had to check before posting – I tend to use trunk. But the @#?! [sorry about my French] search returned boot.

Of course, it’s my fault, I could have checked etymology. … but I may trunkate my search engine – put it in a waste compartment – and boot it from my browser.

Yuki may now have a good idea of what to get Kate for a wedding present (since immortality seems to have some severe drawbacks).

A factor worth considering on that front is the detail that 2/3 of their current relationship are potentially some form of immortal given that Michelle is a robot and Phil’s power could develop over time to “Nullify” his ageing, Kate is the only one of the three that is currently guaranteed to grow old without some form of external factor.
